Luca Montanari is a Ph.D in computer engineering, temporary research fellow at CIS-Sapienza. He received the BS and the MSc degrees (2006 and 2009) in Computer Engineering from the University of Rome "Sapienza" and the Ph.D in the same university in 2013. He is member of Cyber Intelligence and Information Security research center (CIS-Sapienza) since its foundation in 2012, of the Cyber Security National Laboratory since 2014 and of the Midlab research group since 2008. He entered the Ph.D program in "Engineering in Computer Science" of Sapienza in 2009, his advisor was prof. Roberto Baldoni. He was involved in SM4ALL (Smart Homes for All) and COMiFin (Communication Middleware for Monitoring Financial Critical Infrastructure) European projects and he cooperated with Selex SI and SESM scarl, two Finmeccanica Companies. He is currently involved in the TENACE and RoMA national projects on Critical Infrastructure Protection, and ATENA H2020 european project. He is author of journal and conferences peer-reviewed papers and book chapters, editor and author of the Italian Cyber Security Report 2013, 2014, and 2015 that introduced the Italian National Cyber Security Framework. His research interest include distributed systems, Online Failure Prediction, especially in Air Traffic Control Systems and mission critical systems, Complex Event Processing, Cyber Security, Information Security standards and frameworks, Collaborative Security, Critical Infrastructure Protection.
